Franchesca Perez

Biologist, specializing in outreach and landowner conservation options.

Franny has been working with the Natural Resource Department, since October 2003. She received her Masters of Science in Biology from Western Washington University in August 2003.

Franny's job is varied, including the following tasks:

- Developed the Natural Resource Outreach Program, which provides educational programs to local groups and schools, internship opportunities, volunteer and research opportunities for those interested in learning about natural resources and environmental conservation.

- Assists interested landowners with conservation planning, riparian buffer restoration, government programs, and grantwriting.

- Coordinates the Stillaguamish Festival of the River and Pow Wow, a free educational celebration of the Northwest Washington resource diversity.

- Develops and maintains partnerships between the Stillaguamish Tribe and various agencies and work groups associated with protection and restoration of the environment.

 


Franny enjoys being outdoors and exploring the world through the eyes of her son and daughter.
