Weston
High School Step-up Program Works with Stillaguamish Tribe Natural
Resources

This
summer (2004) students Ben, Laura, Jay, Katie, Courtney, and
Kale came out for various work activities. These included cleaning
up trash from swimming holes along the lower Stillaguamish River
and Pilchuck Creek, collecting native grass seeds, painting
signs for the Festival of the River,
and weeding native potted trees at Banksavers
Nursery. They participated in one beach seining event at
Kayak Point park and learned about local marine life. Students
also were a huge help at the annual broodstocking efforts at
Hazel and Treefarm Holes.
Thank
you!
